BUNGALOW
The roof looks like it is made from individual pieces, but it is really 1/8 inch foil laid vertically and horizontally, and then soldered. The lace curtains are visible on the inside, while on the outside the basket weaver and his dog are displayed.

George has been involved in the making of stained glass for over 6 years. He is originally from Massachusetts and has lived in Honolulu for 30 years, before moving to Sun City West, AZ where for 10 years he has been developing stained glass houses. He has been in the Sun City West club for 6 years. His wife was a member of the club and asked him to foil the pieces of a window she was making.. He enjoyed it so much that he joined the Club and has stuck with it ever since. His wife is now involved in clay sculpturing. |

| He started making houses several years ago, and now has 26 houses. He built a stained glass replica of his daughter's house in Honolulu from a copy of her architectural plans. Each house has a story. It took over 3 years to make all the houses.

  The old schoolhouse
|
The schoolhouse is based on a small one-room school that George went to in Vermont. Sixty plus years later in Sun City West, a visitor from the State of Vermont saw the house in the Club's studio display case, recognized it and sought out George. It turned out that the visitor attended the same one room school. |
