     For a solid basic book on stained glass, this book is hard to beat.  There are numerous illustrations and the instructions are easy to follow.  Basic concepts covered are copper foil, overlays, panel lamps, and other tips.  The patterns range from basic to more difficult.  There is something for everyone starting in stained glass.

INTRODUCTION TO STAINED GLASS:  A COMPLETE HOW TO MANUAL
By Randy and Judy Wardell

     The Wardells have published several books about stained glass, and this is another great one for anyone starting out in stained glass.  It covers basic supplies and techniques such as cutting, foiling and soldering.

THE FUSED GLASS HANDBOOK

     This is a great book for anyone who wants to get involved with fused glass. It covers everything one wants to know to get started in fused glass, but also covers many topics for advanced practitioners.

     Topics included are:  tools, supplies, various glass types used for fusing, basic procedures, annealing, as well as a series of beginning and advanced projects.  Other illustrations and charts are included, as well as a chart for time vrs. degree minutes.
